I'm Mr Quiz (not my real name), just a regular guy that not only loves participating in quizzes, but also creating them. My passion for writing quizzes started as an annual hobby following pressure from my family to create a quiz for every Christmas. My dad had tried, but they weren't engaging quizzes and were far too hard. I realised that a good quiz draws people in, it gets people to think, it gets people working together as a team.
Too many quizzes just have questions that you know, or you don't. Every quiz is like that to a degree, my skill is being able to come up with rounds and questions, that people may not know, but may be able to figure out, or will want to rack their brains for a pinch of detail that might help someone else. I like to vary the format of quizzes, so people always feel excited by whats ahead.
Overall I think my greatest ability is to be able to tailor a quiz to the audiences need. My family vary in ages, and interests, so for me it's not just about putting in rounds to cover each of their interests, but to be able to cover a certain topic, in which those who aren't experts still have a chance to answer, whilst not making it too easy for the experts.
I've done quizzes for my workplace, a well know high street retailer (head office), and of course, every friday in my current workplace, for the 'Friday Quiz'. I like to believe those that decide to ask for a quiz will come back, for me I put in the work, and every quiz can be tailored, unlike other generic quiz sites which offer an impersonal service. F
